SNAP FISHING VENTURES (SFV) is all about my clients having a great time, while learning the lure fishing techniques I have mastered over the past 20+ years. These techniques include - how to find the bait and fish at different times of the year and then how to catch them on lures (no smelly bait)!
In the past 7 years Nik has fished the Hauraki Gulf and Northland as a professional guide and skipper (lures only).
Nik has gained a lot of knowledge and written numerous feature “How To” articles for the NZ Fishing News. Many of these articles were on how to find the fish and then catch them using lures only (hard and soft-baits).
We will start the day by choosing an area to fish based on the time of the year and where bait is holding. Once we have found our hungry fish, we will deploy lures on the latest, high quality rods and reel.
I'll come out on your boat and set you up for success. We will learn how to find and catch fish using lures only. I will bring everything needed for the day (lures, rods, reels, sea anchor etc).
Situated at Marsden Cove we will head into the Bream Bay and beyond looking for workups, bait and areas that hold fish. Once we have found our hungry fish, we will deploy lures on the latest, high quality rods and reel.
